Specifically for the Basalt Women’s World Championship Blitz & Superblitz, the organization hired Querine van Alen (De Ontwerpster) to design a fantastic, professional and unique playing hall. The tournaments will be played in Sportcentre Het Activum, Sportveldenweg 2, 7902 NX Hoogeveen.

Play the Hoogeveen Open 2025
OPTIONAL: Get ready for an exciting opportunity to sharpen your skills before the World Championship! You can choose to participate in the Hoogeveen Open International Tournament, taking place from August 11th to 16th, 2025, organized by Stichting Damvrienden van Hoogeveen and HDC Hoogeveen in the same venue as the World Championship. While accommodation is at your own expense, the organization is happy to assist with recommendations.
